New Hampshire’s White Mountains are as stunning to look at as they are to ski
on, and there are several grand hotels for luxury lodging during your ski
vacation.
For a special downhill destination, The Hotel Mount Washington is grand and
gorgeous with a brand new spa debuting. Stay and ski for a weekend or an entire
ski week on an all inclusive European plan package at the historic 4 star hotel,
with skiing at Bretton Woods – NH’s largest ski area. Bode Miller served as
Director of Skiing for Bretton Woods Ski Resort when he won all those World Cup
ski races. If you prefer cross country touring, the largest Nordic Center in NH
is here at Bretton Woods. Other winter activities include horse drawn sleigh
rides and dog sledding around the ski hotel, ice skating and sledding. You can
even take a ride on the Cog Railway up Mount Washington, but you can’t ski down
– for that you have hike up Tuckerman’s Ravine, or take a snow coach from Great
Glens Touring Center.
The property of Mount Washington Resort, owned by Celebrity Resorts, has
development plans to add a pedestrian ski village, and build luxury ski
townhouses for sale in the near future, to compliment the Hotel Mount Washington
and Bretton Woods’ Spa.
The Balsams Resort at Dixville Notch is another luxury ski hotel in New
Hampshire, with its own private ski area. Cross country and downhill skiing at
the Balsams is scenic, serene, and you end each day at with splendid four course

surrounded by mountains instead of the sea. You have seen The Balsams on Conde
Nast’s Gold List and on TV during each presidential election, this is where the
first vote is cast during the presidential primaries.

Jackson with skiing at Black, Cranmore, , Wildcat and Attitash, and the remote but regal Mountain
