In order for a ski trip to be luxurious, it needs to be convenient, comfortable,
carefree. Okemo knows that. From the moment you park in the underground parking,
hand your skis to the valet to be placed in ski check, and take the elevator to
your suite lodging in the Jackson Gore Inn…you’re in good hands.
You can walk to Okemo’s high speed quad for first tracks in the morning, and
slide off your ski boots and into a sumptuous leather couch by the fire for
après ski in the Lobby Bar. The outdoor heated pool and hot tubs bubble away your
ski fatigue or you can go glide some more on the Ice House ice skating rink. The
kids can play in the game room and grab a pizza, while you settle into a superb
dinner in the Wine Spectator Coleman Brook Tavern.
The 177-suite hotel (opened in 2003-4 season) has something for everyone, and is
ideal for skiers since its poised at the base of Okemo’s 119 trails and 19 lift
network. Jackson Gore even has its own daycare and spa services. The Mueller
family operate Okemo and continue to enhance the Ludlow Vermont resort, adding
amusements like a Mountain Coaster called the Timber Ripper for thrill seekers
to enjoy all four seasons. What we like best about Okemo though is they remember
what matters most…the mountain, the snow and smiling faces.
