White Buffalo Club in the Town of Jackson offers suite lodging, with a sophisticated ski elegance. From here you can walk to the cowboy bars of Jackson, or take a ski shuttle to the slopes of Jackson Hole or Snow King. The expansive slate bathrooms at White Buffalo Club are among the best we have encountered.

Goldener Hirsch Inn at Deer Valley
This four-diamond Inn in the heart of Deer Valley’s Silver Lake Village is plucked straight from the Alps. The European interior is rich and regal, the dining is four diamond too, the service is exemplary and the guest list is all repeat clientele. The innkeeper here will surely make you feel special.

The Shore Lodge in McCall Idaho overlooks beautiful Payette Lake. The lovely 1948 lodge has a gracious dining room, après ski lounge, several libraries, a movie theatre, and a full service spa. You are a short drive to the skiing of Brundage and Tamarack where you will find great Idaho snow on un-crowded slopes.

The Castle Hill Inn and Spa in Vermont
Staying in one of New England’s only authentic castles you will be transported to another era, an elegant place to stay after skiing the slopes of nearby Okemo. While the historic 1900 stone castle is all about old-world elegance, sumptuous rooms, and fine dining, the Castle’s Aveda Concept Spa offers the latest greatest body treatments, massages and pampering. Tip: ask to stay in the Castle itself, and not one of the numerous townhouse condominiums on the property.

No two rooms are alike at this Relais and Châteaux Inn in picturesque Warren, Vermont, a classic Vermont village. Each room is expertly decorated with a unique theme, the Ski Room is our favorite. Skiing at uncrowded Sugarbush is just ten minutes away. The Alta Spa, right next door, provides the ideal après ski.

The Charles Orvis Inn at the Equinox in Manchester, Vermont
Located on the beautiful Equinox Resort property, this elegant restored private residence features nine beautifully appointed suites with marble baths and Jacuzzis. The fireplace in the library is a gracious place to enjoy intimate service of afternoon tea or après ski cocktails after skiing at Stratton or shopping the Manchester Outlets.

The Plumpjack Squaw Valley Inn, California
The Plumpjack is a fashionable, funky small inn at the base of Squaw Valley’s slopes. The Shakespearean décor adds frivolity, and the round fireplace in the popular après ski Café adds warmth to a Lake Tahoe ski vacation. While quite nice with a great location just steps from the lifts, The Plumpjack may not be luxurious enough for the most well-healed.
